One of the main goals of electric vehicle manufacturers is to increase battery autonomy. This can be achieved thanks to new low-density, fire-resistant polycarbonates with ABS (PC/ABS) from the Bestpolux series, compared to traditional plastics or metal parts. The use of these materials allows for an increase in vehicle autonomy between 6% and 8% due to weight reduction, while simultaneously maintaining essential characteristics such as high impact resistance, high temperature tolerance, and fire-resistant properties, which are indispensable in these components.
